More Susan Brown

Art_vignette

Here is another sneak peek.  Everyday that I think we are getting closer, we find out more things that we have to take care of!  Will it ever end?!  On the flip side of all the hard work, we are really getting excited.  We can hardly wait.  We are taking the last of the photos and entering the last of the info so it shouldn't be much longer now!

115 DEGREES!!!

Hey blogging buddies!  We miss blogging............BUT.......we're getting oh so close!  Here is a sneak peek!

Cafe032

Of course, when we snapped these, it was 115 degrees.  Tammy and I both actually went in my pool....clothes completely on.  I even wore my flip flops because they were burning my feet.

We can hardly wait.  It is a lot more work than we had thought.  It seems like: Okay, as soon as we get this step done, we're almost there!  NOT!  We just want to be able to be there for all of our out of town customers and now our bloggers too.

Well, I know it's short, but I'm off to add more stuff to the web sight.  And, I want to go visit everybody's blog & check in!  We're really hoping for the end of the week, but it may not be up to us.  Lots of people involved.  Bye for now!  Anita

The Clock is Counting Down!

Everyday, we are getting closer to getting pinkfunnyfarm.com or pff.com up and running.  We are doing some last minute artwork and a few more details....it won't be long now.

This painting titled "Summer Blue", is by the artist Susan Brown.  For those of you who don't know me well, Aqua is my most favorite color in the world.........well, and pink too.  If I had to paint my world one family of colors, it would be these right here!  Is this beautiful or what?!

We  carry her paintings in the shop and will be offering them online.  You see, we have a lot of customers that come in from out of town and have been asking us to go online for years.  We finally decided to go for it, after a lot of persuasion.  So, for our new friends, that haven't been to the shop, I thought that I would start showing some of the products that we carry and will be offering online.  Sort of a...... teaser if you want to call it that.

Well, it's bed time for me, as I have only been getting about 4-5 hours of sleep per night.  SOOO much work to do!  I can't afford to get sick again.  I will post again soon, with more PFF details!

Vintage Signs

Finally, I am feeling better!  Thank you so very much for all of your well wishes.  I had only posted about being sick so that everyone would know why I hadn't been posting.....and low and behold, ended up with wonderful well wishes!

Just a quick post for some of our California customers that need to show the signs that we sell in the shop.  They can be personalized for free with your name and/or destination of your choice!  These will also be available online shortly.  They come in tin or wood and get drop shipped for 15 dollars.  This is one of my favorites and I have it by my pool!

Here is an example of how they can personalize them:

This is one of our best sellers!  It also comes without the trees so that it looks like the ocean or a desert lake.

We do a lot of these with "Meet Us at the Sandbar"....a place up the river here.

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Copy

So if this is true, my lack of online activity has been not only explained, but excused as well.  It all started with that lamo "Groovy Eggs" post.  I was already getting sick, but felt like I should post something.  I figured I could beat it.  Then, I just had to go and brag that our household was skipped by the "FUNK" this season!  Me and my BIG mouth!!!  The last straw was my accountant informing me that I have been entering everything incorrectly at the shop and that it all has to be re-entered and a physical inventory taken............have you seen the shop photos?!  Can you say "INVENTORY NIGHTMARE"???!!!  That was it!  I completely shut down.  I was in bed.....TOTALLY in bed, for 3 days.  In my world, this is absolutely unheard of.  See that big ole beige plastic bag?  Well that is filled with toilet tissue.  I prefer it over tissues when I am sick.  I took EVERY medication that I could get my hands on.  I even took more than one thing at a time.  Sometimes taking something different every hour of the night!  Bad dreams, weird dreams, and good dreams- I had them all!  I finally feel a little better today.  I thought that I would snap a shot of all my drugs and stuff before I strip everything to be bleached!  So pardon my unmade bed, I guess its understandable in this case.  I will use Caldrea cleaning products in the scent of Ginger Pomelo so that my husband will come back to me from the guest house!  Distance makes the heart grow fonder!  I informed him that his little vacation is over and that he needed to rejoin the morning chaos!  He puts his shirt up over his nose every time he peeks in to see if I am alive!  THEN, he did THE stupidest.......no........most stupidest thing that he has ever done!  He took a big ole chug of my water bottle in the bathroom!  DUH!  I heard him hack, spit, growl, and a few other things that I will spare you.  hehehehehe ~ I actually laughed out loud.  Dummy!  Vacation over!

In the middle of my.......let's call it a...period of mind and body loss...my poor daughter came down with the stomach flu!  I couldn't even tie her hair back for her or wash her face off with a wash cloth.  I simply said (at 2am) "you ok?"  She said yes and I told her I can't afford to get what she has and she can't afford to get what I have...so we'd best stay away from each other.  She is 13 though.  I am a little over motherly at times.  Thinking back, I wish that I would have had the stomach flu instead.  I could have shed a few pounds as swimsuit season is fast approaching here in the desert!

Now, I have to tell you about my amazing BFF TFF @ the PFF.  My BEST bud, Tammy Faye from the Pink Funny Farm with me, is the BESTEST friend a girl could ever have.  She worked all by herself at Bella for me while I was sick.  She even went to the store and bought Sprite, soup, those yummy little oyster crackers, magazines and the BEAUTIFUL pink roses in the photo!  She even bought chocolate donuts for my girlies.  The best though?  She brought me the new issue of Romantic Homes!  Whenever the DHL man pulls in the parking lot at the shop, we practically attack him!  He, of course, loves it.  Says that nobody is as happy as us to see him........it's because he usually only comes to deliver Romantic Homes every month.  Poor guy, you should see the response when he brings something else and we are fooled!  We always each grab a copy and hope for no customers until we flip through it real quick.  So, last night we tried to IM each other on the internet to talk about it......since I couldn't talk without coughing.  I tell ya, they have really raised the bar over there at Romantic Homes.  We feel that the last 2 months have really been fantastic.  If you haven't read them, you should!  I also got to catch up on another one of my favorites!  Romantic Country.  This was especially enjoying since some of the articles were about some of our new friends.  You HAVE to get this one!  Heather Bullard and La Maison Rustique are in this issue and if you look back in our archives, you will see how much fun they are!  Heather's blog is beautiful and a special treat right now, as she is in Texas.  I felt sick again when I looked at her blog today, but sick in a good way.  My gosh, all I can say is next year, we are so Texas bound!  WITH a trailer ~ might I add!

Okay, nough said?  We will be taking shots of the shop this week and updating everyone on our web sight's progress.  Take care & I truly hope that everyone stays healthy and this "bug" can just go away!

Groovy Easter Eggs

This year, we had the grooviest eggs ever!

Easter001

This year was a little different.  We had a brunch with our girlfriends followed by an Easter Egg Hunt!  Spring Break is over, and its time to get busy on the pinkfunnyfarm.com.  We are hoping to have it up and going soon.  Hope that everyone had a nice Easter.
